I am a qualified friendly professional family celebrant (as well as a Coach and Trainer to other Independent Celebrants). I know its hard to find the right words when someone you love has died. As a creative writer and Celebrant I help you have a ceremony that is a true reflection of the person who has died, and leave you with a feeling that your send off was a fitting honour and personal tribute. You''ll feel proud too.
I will spend time with you listening to your memories and gathering information, then I look to retell the most important stories and capture the personality of the person who has died, in a tone and style that you want during your burial or cremation funeral.
I can include any religion or none at all, ensuring I get the little things right as well as the big things, allowing you to know your tribute to your loved one will be meaningful and heartfelt.
You will find me discreet, calm, and approachable; often being told I bring sunshine to grey days.
02. GRIEF SUPPORT
I am trained in bereavement counselling, so I support families through the most difficult of times.
Often beneficial for adults and children to understand their emotions.
For those who want a structured approach to support, I offer private grief sessions to help those come to terms with a loss.

Memorials & End of Life Celebrations
There are so many reasons to hold memorials and end of life ceremonies. The popular reason these days is to have a separate ceremony when the person has had a direct unattended funeral.
These ceremonies can be just for the immediate family, for a large number of guests or specific one for work colleagues.
I am an expert conducting these longer ceremonies giving, the guests more time to celebrate or reflect on the departed’s life.
I would ensure that the service is individual and offer both a traditional format or one that is unconventional whichever you wish.
Services can be conducted in a time to suit you whether that be a few months after the funeral or even longer.
My ceremonies encompass respect, love, and memories to cherish.
I also have experience of working with organisations to provide workplace memorial ceremonies. These can be held at any time or type of venue.
These kind of workplace memorials can help staff to understand their feelings and offer support at the loss of a colleague or client with an opportunity to grieve and to celebrate their life.

Equipped with skills and experience of working alongside families who have suffered a sudden loss or of a young member of the family, I provide dignity, respect and sensitivity to allow and capture precious memories, side by side with you.
The funerals I tend to lead are across West Somerset, Somerset and Devon, but I am able to provide funeral services further afield
I want to ensure that all funerals I perform offer warmth, affection and capture the essence of your loved one in a caring and heartfelt way. I am keen to ensure that I am sensitive to everyone’s needs including those of any children present.
Whilst a funeral can be held at either a graveside or a crematorium, I am able to work with you in any setting and work closely with your funeral director or via online direct funerals.
I am happy to include any religion, non-religion, or spiritual content as well as poems, readings, music, or tributes.
Importantly I can conduct the funeral service to assist those who are struggling to come to terms with the death of their loved one, and I can tailor this to whomever attends. I can do this in a style that suits the personality of the departed in an eloquent, or joyous way regardless of an exclusive or large attendance.

Advanced Planning Funeral Service
You may wish to do this to alleviate your family of this task when the time comes (whenever that is), to ease their grief.
Or my clients either do this because they know they are dying soon and want to ensure all their plans are in place, or alternatively they are in the first stages of dementia and want a professional to capture their memories to be retold at their funeral.
I can support you to write your whole funeral ceremony, or just the eulogy part (I call this a Living Eulogy - its like writing your own book of memories!). Both of these services can be done as a one off, or we can schedule to review and update it every so many years, if you require.
My focus is to ensure that you have trust and faith that the final version of your treasured service will be presented to your family as you wished.
However you want your last passage in life words to be said, I'll ensure they are retold.

Mourning The Loss
I can provide this service regardless of whether I am your celebrant or not. Usually these sessions commence after the funeral.
After an initial assessment of your needs, I can either support you for an agreed set of weekly sessions or will signpost you onto another service.
The primary aim of our sessions together would be to help you come to terms with the loss of your loved one and the impact that may cause.
As an independent professional in bereavement counselling I can support you on a private basis.

So well organised and super helpful to have on the day! I recently worked as a videographer at a wedding that Amanda and her team coordinated on the day and I must say she really helped make the day what it was! As a videographer I obviously attend a lot of weddings and see how they run, Amanda and her team really helped make sure that everything ran smoothly at what could have been a potentially chaotic day due to the large number of guests attending. Right from the moment of arrival everything was really well organised and prepared, everything and everyone was where they should be, the ceremony conducted by Amanda was lovely and the rest of the day couldn't have gone better. It was a such a great experience working with Amanda her team earlier this year. COVID forced us to have a split wedding (21/3/20) and reception. (15/9/21). When it came to the reception we required a celebrant to pull things together. We were both stressed and had little idea how to proceed. My wife came across Amanda Louise. What a find! She instantly took hold, guiding us as to the available options and filled us with confidence pulling together a bespoke ceremony that was perfect on the day. On the big day, she arrived well-presented and in good time. A true gem.

We booked Amanda-Louise to be our celebrant and what an amazing day it was! Amanda’s communication is second to none and I never felt as though I had to chase for any responses or updates, which made the experience stress free. On the day of our wedding, Amanda greeted me before I went into the ceremony room and assured me everything from the layout to the guests arrival had gone to plan and we were ready to start the ceremony. We wanted to include traditions from mine and my partners heritage (British and Greek) and Amanda captured the balance perfectly. My partners family were amazed to see Greek traditions included in our ceremony, which gave it that special touch. Bespoke ceremony our guests loved - Amanda-Louise did a great job of working with us to learn our stories and what we wanted from the ceremony and incorporate them into a personal script. She worked with us right up until the day before the wedding making last minute tweaks and adjustments. Our guests called out how unique the ceremony was, and appreciated the good humor she injected.

I was a photographer at a beautifully led wedding ceremony by Amanda in Dorset back in October. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, making it very easy for me to get the images I needed to make sure my clients were very happy! Amanda allowed me to get in close to get those intimate shots and unique angles. Amanda was the perfect celebrant. She managed to write our ceremony after just couple conversations & a questionnaire. She accommodated all our requests & guided us when we were unsure. Amanda had the difficult job of creating a beautiful ceremony that brought together many different parts of our lost loved ones life. She rung up and spoke to each sibling to get stories and details needed for the ceremony. I never felt more at ease knowing she was the celebrant for the funeral. What she came up with was beautiful and she treated my dad with the upmost respect and honour. She made a bad day manageable and it was simply beautiful.
